Author Guidelines

Submission

Thank you for considering submission to the GIHSM Journal of Contemporary Research (GJOCR), a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary research journal.

Manuscripts may be submitted as a single document in Word, RTF, or PDF format through the journal's online submission system (OJS). Tables and figures may be included within the text or placed at the end of the manuscript. If your paper is accepted, you will be asked to revise it into the official GJOCR format (see Accepted Manuscript section below).

Types of Articles

GJOCR accepts a wide range of article types across its multidisciplinary scope. Word counts exclude abstract, tables, figures, and references.

  • Original Research Articles – structured abstract (≤300 words), manuscript up to 6000 words.
  • Review Papers – up to 6000 words.
  • Case Studies – up to 4000 words.
  • Technical Reports – up to 4000 words.
  • Short Communications – up to 2000 words.

Ethical Responsibility

All research must be conducted ethically and responsibly. Authors should follow the requirements outlined in the Methods section of their manuscript and review the journal's Publication Ethics & Misconduct Policy and, where applicable, the Human Subjects and Informed Consent Policy (for studies involving surveys, interviews, or human participants, e.g., in Psychology or Education research).

Recommended Reporting Guidelines

Given GJOCR's multidisciplinary scope, authors are encouraged (rather than strictly required) to follow established reporting standards relevant to their study type, where applicable:

  • PRISMA – for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses
  • COREQ – for Qualitative Research
  • ENTREQ – for Qualitative Synthesis
  • SAMPL – for Statistical Analyses and Methods in Published Literature

Submitting the relevant completed checklist with your manuscript is optional but encouraged where it applies to your study design.
